What do I need to know about visting The Lion's Share?
The Lion's Share is open Mondays from 5 to 7pm and Fridays from 10am to noon. Neighbors in need can visit us once every seven days.
No ID is required to receive assistance, but we will ask collect contact details and some basic information about your household members.
The Lion's Share is located 1008 Franklin Rd SW, Roanoke, VA 24016.
How can I help The Lion's Share?
The Lion's Share is entirely volunteer run - contact us at lions@stmarksroanoke.org to learn more. Some of our opportunities are :
helping neighbors shop during open hours
restocking the pantry
sorting and hanging clothes
assisting with food pickups
We accept donations of non-perishable food and new and gently used clothing. Please email us (lions@stmarksroanoke.org) before delivering, so we can make sure someone is available to receive your donations.
If you would like to make a monetary donation, you can give online via Tithely. If you would prefer to donate by check, please make the check payable to St. Mark's Lutheran Church and indicate "Lion's Share" on the memo line.
